Deep fried Kool Aid on the inside. It appears the Kool Aid was mixed into the batter to achieve that delightfully fruity punch taste. Not at all how I expected it to be executed. It’s good, but not spectacular. Try for curiosity factor. Available at various Chicken Charlie’s stands.
